In June 2010 the German Analytik Jena company presented two pairs of new roof prism 42 mm binoculars. These are both “open hinge” constructions, which are becoming more and more fashionable nowadays, equipped with not less trendy low dispersion ED glass.

To all the fans of high-powered binoculars, Delta Optical introduces its two new models with parameters of 20x80 and 25x100. These binoculars are dedicated to the advanced enthusiasts of night-sky observations.

Binoculars from the Nikon EDG series had officially two launches. The first one was in April 2008, when the company introduced five new models, marked by the EDG symbol, into the market. They were supposed to feature low-dispersion glass in objectives and their casing was designed as “open hinge” – a style so fashionable lately.

The Delta Optical Titanium series made its debut on the market in August 2006, launching a very successful Porro 8x56 model, which you can find in shops to this day. Not long after that launch other devices – the roof prism Delta Optical Titanium 8.5x45 and 10.5x45- appeared as well.

Polish Delta Optical company has just announced the new version of Delta Optical Sailor 7x50 binoculars. It is classic, Porro-prism device with marine parameters.

The DCF ED series consists of top-of-the-range Pentax pairs of binoculars, including 8x32, 8x43, 10x43 and 10x50 models. All these instruments feature low dispersion glass in objective lenses, aspherical elements and Schmidt-Pechan roof prisms which are phase correction coated and silver coated as well.

For those who have been looking forward to new and improved binoculars of the Forest II series we have great news! Delta Optical has launched three new models of binoculars of the series: 8.5x50, 10x50 and 12x50.

The EXPS series consists of three Porro models with the following parameters: 8x42, 10x42 and 12x50. These instruments come with a solid, rubber-covered casing, equipped with BaK-4 prisms fully multi-coated. Additionally UV coatings were used which limit the transmission of harmful rays from that part of the spectrum.

In October 2009 the Vixen company announced the launch of the new series of binoculars called New Foresta. Soon afterwards the following models were launched: 8x32, 8x42 and 10x42 . In March 2010 during IWA fairs two next devices, with the parameters of 10x50 and 8x56, were added to the line-up.

The Ultravid HD binoculars’ series was launched in 2007 substituting the Ultravid devices. It consists of roof prism binoculars with the objective lens’s diameter from 20 to 50 mm. All the binoculars from this series feature the Schmidt-Pechan prisms.

In 2011 the Alpen Optics company decided to introduce some changes in the 42 mm class. The 8x42 and 10x42 binoculars gained a new casing and low-dispersion glass in objectives so a new mark - HD ED - appeared on their bodies.

The Tasco Essentials 8x42 is one of the cheapest roof prism 42 mm binoculars available on the market - it would be difficult to expect some impressive performance from it. We deal here with Schmidt-Pechan roof prisms coated by aluminum reflective layers.

The MF Fujinon series consists of two roof prism devices with the following parameters: 8x42 and 10x42. BaK-4 glass prisms, used in them, are phase coated and set in the Schmidt-Pechan system. The producer emphasizes that all air-to-glass surfaces are multicoated by antireflection layers.

At the beginning of 2009 Steiner decided to substitute the Ranger series by new Ranger Pro binoculars. Not only the number of models was changed but also some of their basic parameters and the prism system as well. Currently the Ranger Pro series includes four devices with the following parameters: 8x32, 8x42, 10x42 and 8x56.

The Victory T* binoculars belong to the top-of-the-range Carl Zeiss series (mind you we are writing it while the Victory HT series hasn’t hit the shelves yet). It consists of two compact models : the 8x20 and 10x25 and also bigger instruments with the following parameters: 8x32, 10x32, 7x42, 8x42, 10x42, 8x56, 10x56 and 12x56.
