Cons: Chromatic abbreviation is visible in high contrast situations, it\'s less than ideal.
Pros: Very bright binos.
Summary: These are my first binos that did not come as a perk of a magazine subscription. So I can\'t really compare them to anything other than the cheapest 8x40 binos that you can buy. That said, I am very pleasantly surprised. The build quality is very high they are super bright even at dusk just before it goes completely dark. Perfect for bird watching. I even did some light astro viewing. The pleiades were beautiful and the milky way seems like it contains a million stars. The chromatic abbreviation is not that pronounced when viewing stars and that was one of my concerns, so presently surprised about that. Take it from this amateur, these binos are good enough, you don\'t have to buy Zeiss glass to have a pair of binos that you will want to use.
