Cons: Focus wheel has nearly zero resistance, Poor edge clarity
Pros: Center image, and sharpness are nearly alpha level. Field of view is what literally created the new Zeiss sf , and NL pure.
Summary: These are discontinued but I would gladly sweep them up off ebay used for retail or less.

Cons: Dubious quality control. There were many faults on the rubber armour as well as on the eyecups. It felt cheap (cheaper than the price might suggest). Focus had a 5 mm idle gap where nothing happened. Terrible. Even cheaper binoculars can get this right. After reading weight and dimensions on the specs sheet, these felt heavy and bulky, more like an 8x42, not particularly nice or comfortable to hold.
Pros: The FOV is wide and the image is pleasant, sharp and with good resolution.
Summary: Nice image let down by the poor build quality, lousy focuser. Felt clunky for a 7x36 (which is supposed to be nimble and light).

Cons: Occasionally get some veiling glare when the sun shines on the objectives.
Pros: Very nice birding glass - great field of view, depth of field and overall sharpness through this pair of binoculars. 7x36 size is a nice weight as well, considerably less than the 42mm size.
Summary: I use these the majority of the time when out birding. I have a pair of 10x42's as well, but they are mostly for viewing stuff at longer distances, like at the reservoir or across large open fields. The 7x36 is my go-to pair most of the time.

Cons: slight stray light issues and a slight ring of light under certain conditions due to shadowing effect from the lens housing in front of the objective glass.
Pros: expansive FOV, Clear crisp images in center with a nice sweet spot. nice ergonomics,
Summary: Good value for the price point. I use them more than any of my other binoculars of which I have many.

Summary: All the optical performance anyone could want, excellent ergonomics & build. W. Europe & Japan beware!
