The Docter Nobilem 8x56 is a set of binoculars which review must be almost full of superlatives. The Analytik Jena continues the good traditions of the Carl Zeiss Jena company and the Nobilem series is an excellent example of it.

The Apex Pro series consists of the highest quality roof prism binoculars on Vixen’s offer. They come with the following parameters: 8x25, 10x25, 8x32, 7x42, 8x42, 10x42 and 10x50. Kowa is a Japanese manufacturer with a very well-known, although modest, offer. Its main part consists of BD42 models, with the 42 mm objective lenses and the magnification of 8 and 10x, aimed chiefly at ornithologists.

This pair of binoculars is a relict of the past with all the advantages and disadvantages connected with this fact. When we consider the solidity of workmanship, heavy weight and the inner construction then contemporary “Made in China” products could take a leaf out of the IOR’s book.

The Habicht series, tested here, includes classic porro-prismatic models with the following parameters: 8x30, 7x42 and 10x40. Their mechanical-optical construction comes from the 40s of the twentieth century.

Nikon announces the new Monarch 8x42, 10x42 and 12x42 DCF binoculars which add to the highly regarded Monarch DCF Series.. The new models have been updated to include a dielectric high-reflective multilayer prism coating, binoculars waterproof capability has been extended to 10 minutes and eye relief for the new Monarch 10x42 DCF has been extended to 18.5mm.

Nikon UK announces the latest additions to the Sporter EX range of binoculars; the Sporter EX 10x42 and the Sporter EX 12x50. Joining the existing series which includes the: 8x42 and 10x50, these additional models will expand the Sporter EX Series, which has been widely acclaimed for its high quality and value for money.
