The EXPS I series consists of three porro-prismatic models with the following parameters: 8x42, 10x42 and 12x50. The binoculars are put into a solid, rubber-coated housing, with BaK-4 glass prisms and fully multi-coated lenses. Additionally UV coatings were used, limiting the transmission of harmful rays from that part of the spectrum.

Optolyth is a German manufacturer of binoculars and spotting scopes. It has five binoculars series on its offer. Among them there is a Royal serie, which consists of four roof prismatic models with rather night parameters: 8x56, 10x56, 9x63 and 15x63.

The HR Atrek DCF series consists of as many as nine models with the following parameters: 8x25, 10x25, 8x32, 10x32, 8x42, 10x42, 8x50, 10x50 and 8x56. All binoculars are equipped with roof prisms made of BaK-4 glass in the Schmidt- Pechan system.

The Sektor D series of the German Eschenbach company consists of roof prism instruments with the following parameters: 8x32, 10x42 and 8x56. These are all-purpose binoculars - the smallest for tourists, the medium for ornithologists and daylight hunting, the biggest for astronomers and hunters.

The second Alpen Optics series of binoculars, falling in below only the Rainiers with regard to price and quality, is the Teton series. In consists of four roof-prism models with the following parameters: 8x42, 10x42, 8.5x50 and 10x50.

The Discovery WP series consists of two very small and physically light roof prism binoculars with the following parameters: 8x42 and 10x42. The tested binoculars was actually the smallest instrument here with the height amounting to just 126 mm.

The Crossfire series consists of four roof prism models with the objective lens’s diameter of 32 and 42 mm and the magnification of 8 or 10x. Both sets of binoculars sport BaK-4 glass prisms and all air-to-glass surfaces were covered by mulilayer antireflection coating.

The binoculars from the Meostar B1 series are the newest product offered by the Czech Meopta company, launched at the beginning of 2005. The series includes nine roof prism models with the following parameters: 8x32, 10x32, 7x42, 8x42, 10x42, 7x50, 10x50, 12x50 and 8x56. Read more >>>

The Docter Nobilem 8x56 is a set of binoculars which review must be almost full of superlatives. The Analytik Jena continues the good traditions of the Carl Zeiss Jena company and the Nobilem series is an excellent example of it.

The Apex Pro series consists of the highest quality roof prism binoculars on Vixen’s offer. They come with the following parameters: 8x25, 10x25, 8x32, 7x42, 8x42, 10x42 and 10x50. According to the producer all air-to-glass surfaces in objectives, BaK-4 glass prisms and eyepieces are covered by antireflection multi-coatings.

Kowa is a Japanese manufacturer with a very well-known, although modest, offer. Its main part consists of BD42 models, with the 42 mm objective lenses and the magnification of 8 and 10x, aimed chiefly at ornithologists.
