Cons: Not that good CA correction as SF, Yet on par with EL.
Pros: This is the tool I never prayed for, as I never expected 8x40 to be ergonomically as 8x32. It shows the Zeiss is still capable of innovation. Super tool for outdoor enthusiasts. Low weight, superb optical performance. I like it more than I liked HT 8x42 ten years ago. I like it more than I liked CHD 8x32 ten years ago. I love it for butterfly watching. The colors are crispy and close focus is great.
Summary: I start to think the HT 8x42 had an affair with CHD 8x32. The SFL 8x40 is the child of this affair.
