The Buzzard SHR series consists of exceptionally light, compact and handy roof prism binoculars with the following parameters: 8x28, 8x32, 8x42 and 10x42. All these instruments were made of BaK-4 glass prisms, phase correction coated.

The Bushnell Discoverer is one of more expensive binoculars series of this American manufacturer. It consists of roof prism models with the following parameters: 7x42, 8x42 and 10x42. In all these binoculars Bak-4 prisms PC-3 phase correction coated were used.

The Imagic BGA PC ASF T Oasis series, according to the producer, includes small, light and handy roof prism binoculars with the following parameters: 8x32, 7x42, 8x42 and 10x42. The binoculars have BaK-4 glass roof prisms put in the Schmidt-Pechan system.

Analytik Jena has just introduced two new roof prisms binoculars containing Extra-low Dispersion Glass (ED) in the objective lenses. These binoculars have 8x42 and 10x42 parameters and are constructed with open hinge which connects the two halves of the body.

One of more interesting porro prism binoculars’ ranges is the Bynolyt Hawk series, including 8x42 and 10x42 models. Those stylish and solid instruments come from the medium price segment. Of course they are waterproof and nitrogen-filled and all air-to-glass surfaces are covered by antireflection multilayer coatings.

The Horizon series is 2007 year’s novelty from the Swift Optics company. These binoculars are to replace the well-known Ultra Lite line. In the Horizons BaK-4 glass roof prisms were used. All the elements are covered by new, specially designed multilayer coatings which are supposed to ensure a particularly high transmission level.

The Rainier series consists of the best and the most expensive binoculars on the Alpen Optics company’s offer. The series includes the following models: 8x32, 10x32, 8x42, 10x42 - all of them with the roof prisms put in the Schmidt-Pechan system and made of BaK-4 glass, on which reflective surface were put about 60 layers of SHR metallic coatings.

In 2005, Swarovski launched a new SLC series, slightly made over. Binoculars got a better strap, a nicer and a bit more comfortable housing and, what’s the most important thing, they got physically lighter by even 50 grams.

The HG L series consists of the most expensive binoculars on Nikon’s offer and, according to the manufacturer, they „have everything the best”. The series includes roof prism models with the following parameters: 8x20, 10x25, 8x32, 10x32, 8x42 and 10x42.

The Japanese Nikon’s SE series consists of three porro prism binoculars with the following parameters: 8x32, 10x42 and 12x50. Originally, these instruments are supposed to be classic and efficient constructions of the highest class, offering the highest quality optics at still acceptable price for many customers.

The Ultravid binoculars’ barrels are made of titanium and magnesium alloys (in the case of the smallest models – of aluminum). Such a choice of the materials guarantees high working precision of the binoculars’ mechanism and its resistance to the environmental factors (humidity, dust, extreme temperatures).

The Swarovski EL 10x42 WB is one of the most expensive compact set of binoculars on the market. The EL series consists of four roof prism instruments with the following parameters: 8x32, 10x32, 8.5x42 and 10x42. All the optical elements of the binoculars are covered by high quality multilayer antireflection coatings.

Bushnel Elite binoculars are equipped with the high quality optics – all the air-to-glass surfaces are covered by the antireflection multilayers. Additionally the outer lenses are covered by special coatings which protect them against dirt and rain. The BaK-4 prisms have PC-3 phase coatings and a special reflection layer so the producer guarantees that the transmission level will reach 90% for the whole instrument.

The Albatross SHR series consists of two solid roof prism binoculars with the parameters of 8x42 and 10x42. Both instruments’ construction is based on the BaK-4 prisms covered by phase correction coatings. The producer assures us that, in order to get the best transmission possible and to damp down unwanted flares, all air-to-glass surfaces were covered by antireflection multilayer coatings.

Pentax company announced the launch of the new binoculars to be used on the water. The model is called the Marine 7x50 and comes with a built-in compass. What's interesting, is made in the roof Schmidt-Pechan system and has a central focusing system.
