Roof prism series Bushnell Excurision EX consists of five models with the following parameters: 7x36, 8x36, 10x36, 8x42 i 10x42. One feature common for the whole series are large fields of view, the widest in a given class of equipment.

The Nikon Monarch 7 series was launched in the middle of 2012. At first only two models were offered – the 8x42 and the 10x42. Both instruments are Schmidt-Pechan roof prism devices and their prisms are made of BaK-4 glass covered by both dielectric and phase-correction coatings.

One of the least expected results of the 8x42 binoculars endurance test, conducted by our editorial office, was a disastrous performance of two Leica devices from the Ultravid HD and the Geovid HD-M series in the category of waterproofness. The market of binoculars keeps growing very quickly indeed. In fact every year we see a new company which launches several series of products. What’s more, already existing companies tend to replace its product line-ups much quicker than before.

We haven’t published any spotting scopes tests on the Optyczne.pl/Allbinos.com site yet although we have been thinking about doing so several times. Unfortunately conducting such tests is not an easy task – in fact it is far more complex than testing binoculars.

The Bushnel Elite 10x42 pair of binoculars performed very well in our big 10x42 instruments test, done back in 2006. Since that time there have been a lot of changes introduced to this series. As a result the casing is completely new and the producer started to boast about using ED glass in the objectives which is supposed to improve the chromatic aberration correction.

The Countryman series consists of three roof prism pairs of binoculars with the following parameters: 8x42, 10x42 and 10x50. These are compact and physically light constructions are nitrogen filled and waterproof up to 3 meters.

In 2009 the most expensive series of Swarovski binoculars, marked by the EL symbol, was present on the market for ten years. It consisted of four roof prism models with the following parameters: 8×32, 10×32, 8.5×42 and 10×42. .

Zen-Ray Optics is a relatively young player on the binoculars market. So far their offer hasn’t been exactly wide but their products are interesting, with unique parameters and often very wide angles of view which set them apart.

Polish company Delta Optical presents four new pairs of binoculars in the Extreme ED series. These are powerful porroprismatic optical instruments with low dispersion ED glass. You can choose between these four models: 7 × 50, 10 × 50, 10.5 × 70 and 15 × 70.

The history of rangefinder-equipped Geovid series of binoculars goes back to 1992 when at the Photokina fairs Leica launched the Geovid 7x42 BDA model. That pair of binoculars was equipped with an infrared laser, measuring the distance in the range from 25 to 1500 metres.

The 8x42 BD-42-8 model, tested here by us, belongs to a group of binoculars produced still in Japan. That series consists of devices with the following parameters: 8x25, 10x25, 8x32, 10x32, 8x42 and 10x42. As the company claims, these binoculars were designed in such a way so they are physically the lightest and the most handy.

After the successful launch of Delta Optical Titanium 8x56 ROH binoculars, Polish company Delta Optical shows another binoculars from this serie having magnification of 10x and objective lenses of 56 mm.
