Overall
Owner since: 1 month
Price: 397
User profile: Semipro
Cons: Serious internal reflections. Possible internal coating problem. Stray light and heavy glare made viewing in high contrast conditions nearly impossible. Very disappointing quality control.
Pros: Build quality was very good. Rubber armor improved over Monarch 5. Optical sharpness was average. Color rendition seemed neutral. Eyecup adjustment much improved. Focus wheel very smooth and consistent.
Summary: Very disappointing experience overall. The internal reflection issue overshadowed my experience due to higher expectations. Ended up returning this binocular. Nikon can do much better.
