Cons: Some usage wear, case has poor stitching

Pros: They feel good in the hand, German engineering shines through the build

Summary: To be honest, these came today as part of an Auction lot. £3.00 GBpounds was for the entire lot! As others have said, the case stitching requires repair, the pair I have show plenty of use, indicating good quality, Made in Germany and a seven digit number, seems to bode well. I have yet to compare them to my Soviet made bins, of similar age and focal length.

Cons: Unsuitable for use with glasses. Leather case eventually comes unstitched.

Pros: Rugged and reliable, though not as good as modern bins.

Summary: I bought mine originally from Argos in the 1970s for £40. They have a 7 digit serial and the DDR stamp on the Inter Pupillary Distance disk, metal focusing wheel, and show some sign of chipping of the black paint.

Cons: Ebay had elevated price of these through the roof. Prone to miss alignment (later examples). Not water proof.

Pros: Good image and with the later T3M coatings fairly bright. Early post 1960 models tougher although will only have the blue coatings if any at all. T3M coatings tend to shift the colour towards the yellow of the spectrum.

Summary: Watch out for the fake models. 7 digit serial number and DDR or Germany on IPD and you safe. Local high street shops sold these for £35 in the early 1980's bare that in mind.

Pros: bright, wide field, panoramic view, well built ,high quality, easy to find on the used market ,very likeable field glasses, wih the desirable zeiss image, and they smell nice too

Summary: classic, hard to beat, general purpose glasses

Cons: Not for Glasses wearers. Easily knocked out of line.

Pros: Build quality Great optics for the price Later T3m coatings the best

Summary: Great German porro, check alignment and lens condition before buying. ONLY 7 digit serial numbers are German Built.
