User profile: Amateur
Cons: Weight (a wider neck strap is needed for comfort, specially when hiking) Slow and stiff focus wheel (there is no \"focus snap\" due to slow focussing altough the end focus is really sharp but less easy to find) Accessories (slim neck strap, fancy but not effective objective cover attachment)
Pros: Overall and edge to edge sharpness (only very outer ring blurrs sligthly) Long eye relief (works really well with glasses but might be too long for non glassed people) Wide FOV (even with glasses) Robust design (you feel that you have something substantial in your hands, exposed metal parts and rubber armour looks and feels like a quality product) Good glare performance. (You can induce glare but you have to work for it)
Summary: If you are an eye glass wearer with a high prescription this might be the binocular for you. The long eye relief facilitates the enjoyment of the full FOV. It has some disadvantages and things can always be better but this works (for me) with glasses. Everything else was restricted in terms of FOV. Its sharp and bright enough to satisfy most needs/people. Altough not cheap its affordable with a lot of bang per buck. The accessoiries are of lesser quality but these can be upgraded easily to your own personal preference. The Meopro Air replaced my Nikon Monarch HG 8x42 altough the latter one is substantial lighter and has a better focus. The view is very comparable sharpness/contrast wise with a very slight yellow hue compared to the MHG.
