Fortunately there is still the secondary market; after all the 7×35 class used to be very popular and the choice was far greater than nowadays.

You can start the list with the old Leica models, mentioned by us above. Of course specimens produced near the end, so from the beginning of the 80s of the 20th century, are these most recommendable – they already feature antireflection multi coatings so image brightness and colouring are similar to contemporary standards. A pair of binoculars of that type in mint condition can be bought for 500-1000 USD.

My private collection features the Leitz Trinovid 7×35 B of a special kind. It comes from a short limited edition of just 200 specimens launched to celebrate Munich 1972 Olympic Games. I managed to buy a model in mint condition, with a full set of accessories and an original box. It also features the Munich Olympics sticker. It's one of the greatest rarities of my collection.
