7. Low light conditions binoculars

Night hunters and astronomy lovers who observe the sky attach great importance to gathering as much as possible light beam by objective lens. It is possible to gain only by enlarging an objective lens diameter. Of course it is impossible to keep enlarging lens infinitively because enlarging lens at the same time we increase the weight and size of binoculars. To hold binoculars in a hand in comfortable way and to avoid a chronic ache of neck, the binoculars shouldn’t exceed the limit of 1.5 kg. Because of that as a typical night vision (holding in a hand) binoculars there are considered 56-63 mm instruments magnifying not over the 12x.

Optimal and best night vision binoculars seem to be classic 8x56 with 7mm exit pupil. Please remember that people in age over the 45 shouldn’t buy this range equipment because of reasons described in detail in chapter dedicated to exit pupil, where you can find more exact information about this issue.

The 8x56 model is available in most brand offers. Let me mention this sort of brand like Swarovski SLC, Zeiss Victory, Docter Nobilem, Steiner Night Hunter. Cheaper and worthy alternative would be Vixen Ultima 8x56, Nikon Monarch 8.5x56, Delta Optical-Titanium 8x56, Minox BL 8x56 BR or Eschenbach-sektor D compact 8x56 B.
