The EXWP-I series consists of the most expensive Olympus binoculars and includes two instruments with the parameters of 8x42 and 10x42. Both of them are roof prism binoculars made of BaK-4 glass and phase correction coated. All other optical elements are covered by antireflection multilayer coatings and additional UV coatings.
The binoculars is padded with high quality rubber, watertight and nitrogen-filled. The housing is very stylish and convenient to hold. In the Design category it even won the IF 2003 award.
The manufacturer informs us that, apart from the prisms, there are overall 9 lenses in 6 groups in the system. The lenses are made of lead-free glass.
All the Olympus binoculars have a case, a strap and objective cups included in box. The EXWP-I series comes with a 25-year-long guarantee.

Summary
Pros:
very solid and stylish housing,
coma and astigmatism very well corrected,
negligible distortion,
low chromatic aberration,
very good whiteness rendition,
good quality of prisms and coatings,
low flares,
slight light fall-off at the edge,
good blackening inside,
minimal focus already from 1.8 meters,
long warranty period.
Cons:
distinctly truncated exit pupils.
Decidedly this was the dark horse of out test. Plenty of advantages, just one serious flaw and the price of 400 Euro are the best of recommendations. A standing ovation for Olympus, which managed to launch an almost perfect nature observation instrument and you don’t have to pay an arm and a leg for it.
The Allbinos.com/Optyczne.pl editorial team decided to award this set of binoculars the “A good buy according to the Allbinos.com/Optyczne.pl Editorial Team” distinction for winning the 3rd place in the 10x42 binoculars Ekono ranking
