Tasco was the thrid 7×35 class binoculars tycoon, most active from the 50s to even the 80s of the late 20th century. I suppose that company offered you the widest range of models of different quality. The cheapest binoculars, produced in the 80s and later, were really poor, quality-wise. On the other hand, earlier that company featured some real pearls in their line-up, instruments that even now are prized and sought-after as collectible gems.

The Tasco 7×35 Model. No. 118 was a very solid rival of simpler Swift and Sears models, mentioned above, with a field of 11 degrees. The Tasco 7×35 Model No. 400 could be placed a notch higher, mainly due to bigger prisms; it also came with a field of view of 11 degrees.

Still the Model No. 110 is the most sought-after pair of binoculars in this class, a twin of the Sears Discoverer 7×35, described by me earlier. In this case you also get a casing made of magnesium composites, BaK-4 prisms and a really impressive field of 12.5 degrees. Brin Best described that model in superlatives only – in his opinion it was optically better than the Discoverer. Still the Tasco No. 110 is a really difficult to find. Despite many years of search on different online auction sites I personally haven't managed to find one in pristine condition yet.
