Cons: A tad Pricey
Pros: Sharpness, brightness, clarity, weight, balance
Summary: WOW, everything you need in a pro optic. I have had well over 1000 optics go through my hands throughout my life. The Zeiss 8x42 HT is by far one of the best, if not the best optic. The brightness and clarity is second to none. I compare it closely to the Swarovision 8.5x42 and I lean towards the Zeiss. The Leica counterpart doesn't even fall in the same league (too much CA) The Zeiss does not have field flattener lenses, and the image produced is more natural and pleasing to the eye. There is no CA and the brightness extends all the way into late dusk and early night..WOW!! Well done Zeiss, an excellent product that sets new standards.

Summary: FINALLY I CHANGE MY HT 8X42 FOR A LEICA ULTRAVID 8X42 BL JUST FEW SECONDS TO COMPARE SIDE BY SIDE, I GOT WIT THE LEICA PURE COLOUR AND THE FINEST AND SHARPEST VIEW VERY EASY AND MUCHT BETTER THAN MY EX 8X42 HT. I NEVER THOUGHT THAT I WOULD CHANGE THA LAST IN OPTICAL TECHNOLOGY BY ONE OLDEST MODEL FROM LEICA BUT THE DIFFERENCE WAS HUGE. BEFORE BUY ALWAYS COMPARE SIDE BY SIDE.
